The Dog House

Take a peek and see who is in the dawg house at the Anderson's.  No, it's not Dwayne - it's our one year old golden retriever named Zekie.

When we were ready to purchase our next dog we researched golden retriever breeders.  Low and behold, we found one of the best to be found right down the road from us at  GoldenGael Farm

One day we were reading the Bible story about Ezekiel in the Valley of Dry Bones.  God had worked through the prophet to bring dead, dry bones back to life!  We prayed that God would show us just the right puppy that would do that job for Him today.  So when it came time to name our dog we knew the prophet Ezekiel should be the namesake.  Since our puppy turned out to be a girl we didn't want to call her "Zeke" so we adapted it to "Zekie".  We brought home our precious puppy and knew we had a dog with a mission.  She loves people!  All people, any people.  She loves playing soccer (you should see that!) but her favorite thing to do is love on people.  We realized that what God did in the "valley of dry bones" through Ezekiel, He was doing here and now through our dog!  (Well, if Zekie had actually been there she would have probably chewed on the bones!)

Zekie!
Zekie has been working hard to be a golden girl.  She did obedience training, learned to ring a bell when she needs to go "outside" and she earned the title of "Canine Good Citizen".  Zekie is training to be a therapy dog, but her greatest achievement is literally bringing people's "dry bones" back to life.  She just breathes the unconditional love of our Creator onto everyone she meets.

If your bones are ever feeling dry and you need to feel the breath of God just come by and visit Zekie - she can't wait to see you!
